SP TAKEGAWA Super Multi DM Meter for Honda Monkey 125
About quality and texture - Top quality. Straight out of the box this meter just looks premium with it's stainless steel bezel and red tacho needle.About the feeling of use - I'm looking forward to the extra features this meter offers over my current add on tachometer. The gear indicator and ability to monitor the battery voltage has been very much wanted.Products to buy together - Now that I will be removing my add on tachometer I will be adding a windshield, lots to choose from here on Webike but I dog the look of the one from RIDEA.Difficulty of installation - This meter is simple to install. You need to run a wire to the ignition coil and the wire for your temperature indication but the remaining wires just connect to the OEM wiring harness, no cutting required. Start to finish should take you an hour to have a tidy install and operational. English instructions can be downloaded from the Takegawa Japan website.Cost performance and comparison with other products - This meter is slightly more expensive then the one available from OPMID and has the same features but the Takegawa meter has a more OEM look to it with the stainless steel bezel and analog tach needle.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and usually arrives in Australia in 6 to 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - The photo I have attached and the downloaded english instructions indicate this meter works on the JB02 and the new JB03 Monkey 125 model.
I sold my opmid to purchase the takegawa. I wish I wouldn't have. The takegawa is constantly changing settings on its own. It worked fine for the first 2 months it was installed then all the sudden I have to program it every time I ride my honda monkey. Super dissatisfied with this product. View Detail

About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the super multi DN meter from SP Takegawa. Housing is made from plastic with a stainless steel edging as opposed to chrome on the OEM Honda meter and the display is a mix of analog and digital as opposed to just digital on the OEM Honda meter.About the feeling of use: This instrument gauge has every thing you could possibly want to display your Monkey 125 and I much prefer the look of the analog tachometer displayed when the motorcycle is turned off.Products to buy together: A SP Takegawa oil drain bolt would also be desirable to purchase alongside the super multi DN meter so you can display the engine oil temperature on the digital part of the display.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 2 hours to install and setup. Remove the headlight and OEM Honda meter then position the switching wire, temperature wire and tachometer wire. Install the meter bracket followed by the meter and connect up all the wiring to the meter. Now follow the instructions on how to setup the meter. A little difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting one hell of a instrument gauge that is able to display everything you could want on the Monkey 125 but the price is high as compared to the previous tachometer I was using from SP Takegawa that did a fantastic job but is missing a few features.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: Like I have said multiple times this is one hell of a instrument gauge but if you have unlimited funds then you will want to purchase the super multi TFT meter from SP Takegawa that has a coloured digital display.View Detail
This speedo is amazing but does have some minor issues. I love how u can actually read it! the temp gauge, the service counter.. all good stuff. Issues1. Tacho is slow and struggles to keep up with the engine 2. Gear display is ok.. but could of been much better. for example, changing from neatrual to 1st. the Gear display will just display a -.. I get it works out the gear based on rpm and speed but it could assume people are taking off in 1st.G1.View Detail
Installation took less than an hour to complete. It's nice to be able to compensate for the speed because of the fact that the outer diameter of the Tire has been changed. Moreover, the visibility has improved incomparably better than OEM. (OEMs can't see them at all in direct daylight.) 。 If I have a complaint, it's that the gear position is often wrong. I don't think this is a problem. A quick glance at the OEM Style and a general review is Recommendation!View Detail
It's a stylishly equipped tachometer that motorcycles don't have. When I open the product, there are two instruction manuals and this makes me confused. One is a universal manual and the other is a manual for Monkey125. If you can distinguish the two well, it's not difficult to install.View Detail
This gauge is just the best you can buy for your CT125. Think of a useful function and this has it.Clear vision of the gauge as opposed to the factory embarrassment for a gauge.Gear position, ambient temp, oil temp, time, date, speed, lots of alarms and shift light function. This unit is effectively plug and play, apart from calibrating the actual speed, but that's just a case of inputting a few values and your away.Just remove the crappy factory unit, install the new frame for this gauge, install the Super Multi TFT meter, wire up to the factory coil, enter your magic calibration numbers and you're effectively do.I love this, and Webike was excellent to deal with as usual. My preferred supplier of parts for my CT125.Thank you!View Detail
Installation is fairly easy with the aid of searching YouTube. Setting wise need some google translate on the instruction manual, which already stated the recommended setting View Detail
View Detail
The original speedometer that comes with the CT125 is poorly illuminated and offers very limited functionality which really lets the bike down. Enter Webike and the TAKEGAWA 'Super Multi TFT' meter. It fits the location of the factory gauge via a included bracket, and is fairly easy to fit to your bike. One major issue that most purchasers face is the lack of instructions in English. Google Translate or similar certainly help with this. That is the only negative, the fit and function of this instrument is fantastic. Bright, large font where needed, a very modern TFT display and needle sweep of the tachometer on ignition. Information such as speed, RPM, time, date, external temp, fuel quantity and other speed, shift light and alarm settings make for one excellent gauge.Service from Webike Japan was excellent as expected, and I received my parts as ordered within a few weeks.View Detail
About quality and texture - The standard G-Craft billet aluminium raw finish with a clear anodize that never gets old or fades.About the feeling of use - Just a beautiful part with it's etched G-Craft branding around the cap, very happy I chose this one over any of the coloured options from other brands for this location.Products to buy together - The G-Craft service hole cap and engine cap for the left engine cover are perfectly matched to this filler cap and make a great set.Difficulty of installation - Installation of the filler cap is just simply re-using the O-ring from the Honda OEM cap and tightening down by hand.Cost performance and comparison with other products - There are cheaper and more expensive billet aluminium oil filler caps from the other brands. This one looks to be priced around the mid points but don't let a few dollars either way make your decision. You should be purchasing based on the style you like the best.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - If there isn't an oil filler cap to your liking in the Monkey 125 listing then go chechout what's available for the Grom as they will also fit.View Detail
About quality and texture - You are getting a set of billet aluminium caps with a silver anodized finish. The design looks to be well thought of with the grooves on the inside of the cap to additionally help with transfering the heat from the oil to the outside fins.About the feeling of use - The silver finish doesn't match the silver engine of the Monkey 125 so that my bother some people but not me. The caps warm up just like the Honda OEM caps but now with the fins exposed to the air flow this area can add some cooling effect to the engine oil.Products to buy together - If you have increased the performance of your 125cc engine and are still looking for more cooling then the Kitaco high mount 3 row oil cooler kit specifically designed for the Monkey 125 will be a nice additional purchase.Difficulty of installation - Installation of the tappet cap set is just simply re-using the O-rings from the Honda OEM caps and tightening down the Kitaco caps with the included allen head bolts. A small amount of oil will come out when the lower tappet cap is removed but that's nothing to worry about.Cost performance and comparison with other products - This purchase has to be the best value finned tappet cap as you are receiving 2 caps and not 1 like the finned tappet cap from G-Craft. If you just want billet caps without fins you can get them much cheaper.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Also available with a black anodized finish to match the black engine of the Honda Grom.View Detail
About quality and texture - This product is made up of a multitude of parts, steel material used for the base plate for the strength in case of a fall and aluminium material is used for the guard plates and protector to keep it as light as possible.About the feeling of use - With the addition of some protective items fitted to the Monkey 125 I feel more at ease knowing that if I have a small accident that the motorcycle parts will be saved.Products to buy together - Kitaco have many beautifully machine aluminium anodized parts but their left crank case cover has the ability to also protect the engine cover so is perfect to add for some additional fall protection.Difficulty of installation - The included instructions show the sequence of lining up all the parts and they simply secure to the fork guard mounting tabs with the included longer bolts. I'd also recommend using a thread locking product.Cost performance and comparison with other products - A high priced product from Kitaco but so are similar products from the likes of G-Craft. Looks like if you want fall protection with some style it will cost you some dollars but in the event they come into use will save you even more.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Not stated by Kitaco but these front fork guards can also be used to raise the front end of the Monkey 125 using a maintenance stand.View Detail
About quality and texture - One solid machined aluminum cover with a cool design and smooth anodized finish to hide the ugly starter motor housing.About the feeling of use - When you are using a low mount exhaust on the Monkey 125 the starter motor is no longer hidden by the exhaust pipe and this part ready dresses up the area.Products to buy together - Kitaco have many fine aluminium billet parts and one that will also dress up a poor looking Honda OEM part is the clutch cable receiver bracket.Difficulty of installation - Installation of this cover is just removing the Honda OEM mounting hardware, then positioning the spacers and cover and tightening down the included longer bolts.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Not a cheaply priced part but still more affordable then the one available from Posh and much better looking in my opinion.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - The starter cover is not the same for all year Groms and Monkey 125 motorcycles, Kitaco have 2 versions available so be sure to select the correct one.View Detail
About quality and texture - The washers are machined aluminium with an anodized finish and the dome nuts are stainless steel which is nicer then the Honda OEM soft steel chrome version.About the feeling of use - I chose the red anodized finish to add somemore highlights to the Monkey 125 and am really liking how they look with the red highlights on the upgraded rear shocks.Products to buy together - For more red highlights adding the Kitaco aluminium key box cover to my was a must and Kitaco have many more to choose from.Difficulty of installation - Installation was no problem and all you need it a ratchet and socket to complete the job, be sure to just change one nut and washer at a time so you don't have an issue with the suspension moving.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Priced well and cheaper then the version SP Takegawa have. I also prefer the Kitaco styling of the coloured washers with the stainless nuts.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - When you decide you are going to start adding highlighted parts like these to your motorcycle, think about all the parts you might like to add before purchasing the first one so you make the right decision about which colour to go with.View Detail
