SUZUKI V-STROM 650 (DL650)

This was another part that needed to be changed after getting this bike for a refresh. There were a lot of small parts that had perished and needed changing before we could go forward with the rebuild. A fair few gaskets were not great and this was one of them. The thermostat gasket and definitely the thermostat. Not a hard part to track down if you have the Suzuki schematics for the model of bike. The price Webike had this thermostat for was excellent value for money and always better than could be sourced locally. Everything in my basket was shipped together to save a little on the shipping cost. EMS was my chosen courier as they just get the orders to me same and fast. In 5 days my order arrived. This thermostat was in a Suzuki standard box but Webike added a nice thick padding surrounding it to the back to make sure it stayed safe from damage. The thermostat itself is a small one and not a lot you can say about how it looks. The true test is how it works when fitted. The kit I purchased was well packaged and tailored for installation on a V-Strom 650. All parts appear to be good quality and ready for immediate installation on the bike. The kit includes wiring adapters to suit the bike (bullet connector to 2-pin Suzuki connector) and a new 7-pin LED blinker relay. Installation was easy for someone with moderate experience. Tools required: open-end wrenches (8~12mm), hex key wrenches (4~5mm), 10~12mm socket. The rear fender of the bike must be removed to access the wiring and remove the existing blinkers. Routing the wiring through the adapter plates, washer and nut requires patience and a delicate touch. Aside from that, it's a matter of securing connections with electrical tape and securing the wiring to the frame.The kit is quite bright and very visible, even during the daytime. The blinkers are all mounted on flexible stalks, so they should survive if the bike is dropped. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.View Detail

This was my first time purchasing and installing brake pads. The Red "AKA" Pad seems to be a good "moderate" choice. The price is average, and the quality seems high.The pads I replaced were the factory equipment, Tokico/Toyo pads. They were in use for over 40,000kms and the performance was lacking due to old age. In comparison, the stopping power of the Red Pad is better. While testing them, I was able to lift the rear wheel from the ground. The feeling is "linear," or a steady increase in force as the lever is squeezed. There is no sudden movement or unexpected jolts.Installation was simple, according to the official service manual. It is best to clean and maintain the caliper while replacing the pads. Also consider checking and bleeding the brake fluid at the same time.Shipping cost was reasonable, and the packing quality was high. Webike deliver well in this regard.Make sure to double-check the shape and number of pads your bike requires! For V-STROM 650 front brakes, I needed two seperate sets of pads. I recommend looking up a video of the replacement process beforehand.View Detail

The kit is made specifically for my motorcycle, so it fits well. The instructions are unclear in some steps, such as removal of stock bar ends and which parts to re-use. However, after referencing the service manual, the installation went well. The covers provide good protection from wind and other elements. I can even use light gloves in the winter!Note: My V-Strom has aftermarket levers, and I found that the clutch-side knuckle cover interferes with the lever adjustment. I have my lever set close and it works well, but be aware of this if you use aftermarket levers.View Detail

I bought these to replace softer "comfort" grips the previous owner installed. Immediately, I noticed an improvement in fine throttle control, and feel more certain of my hand positioning. The material feels firm and provides high grip. I imagine it would perform well in wet weather, too. I would recommend these grips to those who prefer a "direct" feel.View Detail

My local Suzuki dealer (that has many V-Stroms on the showroom floor like mine) wanted to charge me an exorbitant price for these plugs. They didn't even have any in stock. There were a couple of other parts that I needed for my customers. One of the asked for good protection for their rear arm on the ZX-10RR so I recommended Evotech stand hooks.I did look at other brands but for the price and what I have witnessed from Evotech before, we went for these. The part numbers for the ZX-10RR do fit a couple of other models too. I got the correct part number from Evotech anyway. The cost was reasonable so this was also a great benefit. The shipping courier I went for was EMS fast service. They delivery my orders within 7 days and I have never had it take any longer than that. From Japan to the UK, that's just brilliant. The shipping was also spread out over a few items which meant it was great value. Upon receipt of my order, the outer box was sealed with tape and nothing could escape during transit. All the item in the box were packed very well and bubble wrap was also added for additional security. Everything was 100% perfect. The material of these stand hooks I am not sure of but they really do scrub off the speed off and stop damage to the rear arm if you have an accident. The classic stand hook shape is really smart looking which fits really nicely with the ZX-10RR style. These stand hooks are so easy to fit, just a bolt in type. All fitted and looking great.
